After completing vocational training as a Network Technician and System Administrator, Fabian Mittermair earned a degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) from the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, specializing in technical cyber security and information security.

He began his career in cyber security in 2010 as an Ethical Hacker and Security Consultant. Since then, he has held various technical and leadership roles in Germany and Austria, always with the goal of helping organizations identify security vulnerabilities proactively and implement effective security measures before they can be exploited.

Since mid-2023, Fabian has been leading the Offensive Security practice at CERTAINITY. In 2025, he also assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
