Your Mission

As a Senior Security Consultant, you’ll combine strategic consulting with a hands-on mindset. Together with our clients, you’ll develop security solutions that don’t just look good on paper—they deliver measurable value in practice. Your expertise will play a key role in building sustainable and effective security programs.
Your Responsibilities
- Advise clients on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
- Support organizations in implementing regulatory cyber security requirements (e.g. NIS2, DORA, RCE).
- Guide clients through ISO/IEC 27001 certification projects.
- Conduct ISO/IEC 27001 and NIS2 audits (CERTAINITY is an officially recognized Qualified Entity under the Austrian NIS Act).
- Perform risk assessments and Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), developing practical recommendations to achieve technical and organizational security objectives.
- Design and implement Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategies and concepts.
- Deliver security awareness training sessions.
- Represent CERTAINITY by speaking at conferences and industry events.
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your expertise by collaborating with our Offensive Security, Defensive Security, and Security Engineering teams, supporting your continued professional and personal development.
Your Qualifications
- Passion for information security.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline is desirable.
- Solid understanding of core information security concepts and technologies.
- Practical experience with security technologies and implementing security controls in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of relevant security standards and best practices, including the ISO/IEC 27000 family, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and related frameworks.
- Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, particularly NIS2.
- Experience conducting audits and security risk assessments.
- A self-organized and structured way of working.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.

For this senior position, we expect at least five years of relevant professional experience, supported by internationally recognized certifications. We offer a gross annual salary starting at €75,000 (full-time). Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we are prepared to offer a competitive salary above this minimum.
